Now for something a little sketchy....

So I was going through my old sketchbooks and I thought that I might just share some of my old work with you.
Some of this was done in Berlin and Madrid on school trips and others is just my school work and own projects.
Hope they don't bore you too greatly :P

So yeah here are a few of the bits and pieces I liked best.

I'm continuing with the dance thing and hopefully by the time the summer exhibition at the RA comes up I will have my film finished and maybe it'll be there :)

A little bit of Degas

So me and my dad went to the RA yesterday to check out the DEGAS AND THE BALLET exhibiton.
I'm not gonig to lie, many of the more recent shows I have seen at the RA have been dreadfully currated (British sculpture exhibiton left much to be desired and the summer exhibition this year was the worst I've seen).
The Degas exhibition however overreached all expectations and was well created and filled with the majority of his works as well as some works of Eadweard Muybridge and other capturers of movement.

So this blog is going to be dedicated to my favourite images from the exhibition which I totally recommend people going to.

Both my dad and I loved this image of Degas's. I like it because of the use of colour and how all three dancers share the same qualities between them.
It also helps that they remind me of me and my ballet girls.

And finally a bit of Muybridge

The exhibition has made me want to capture movement in a more expressive manner now so watch out for some Muybridgesque photographs or Degas like sketches

i do believe in faires, i do, i do

So basically i was very bored one day and decided to take a walk around queens wood.
While i was there i snuck up on this fairy i saw in the sunlight and stalked her for a while.
Creepy i know, but so totally worth it.

The quality of light while i was out looked great as it burst through the leaves and hit her.

I caught her shadow as she flittered between the trees and then...

I finally caught her at a moment of pause as she basked in the sunlight...

Then she caught me watching her and hid...
